Randy Townsend
Vice President, Professional Services & Support
Randy Townsend is a technology industry veteran who uses a proven track record of customer service and operational excellence to lead Oversight’s services and support team. Most recently, he was vice president of Customer Services for the OEM Group at Verint (formerly Witness Systems). During his tenure there, Townsend held a number of executive positions through which he reorganized and moved professional services into the sales cycle, making it a competitive asset. He also developed strategic customer support programs to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and reference ability.
In previous leadership roles, Townsend served as vice president of Professional Services for Dun & Bradstreet Software, and later, for Internet Security Systems (ISS), where he was responsible for restructuring the company’s professional services and training operations with a focus on revenue generation and profitability. IBM subsequently acquired the company.
His experience also includes founding TeamOne, LLC, a profitable consulting company that was ultimately acquired by PeopleSoft. While at PeopleSoft, Townsend established and led the highly successful ASP Business Unit. He has also held senior positions with Ernst & Young, Asera, The NetCommerce Company (acquired by WebTone), and Cedar Consulting (formerly The Hunter Group). Townsend has a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Business Administration and Accounting from Birmingham Southern College.
